You can approximate heavy cream using half-and-half by combining it with melted butter.

  • Mix Thoroughly: Ensure the melted butter is completely incorporated into the half-and-half for a smooth consistency.

While this mixture won't be an exact substitute for heavy cream, it will offer a richer consistency than using half-and-half alone, making it suitable for some recipes. Keep in mind that it may not whip as stiffly as heavy cream.
