There are multiple ways to close a file in CorelDRAW. Here's how:
Methods to Close a File
-
Using the File Menu:
- Click on the File menu located in the top left corner of the CorelDRAW window.
- Select Close from the dropdown menu.
-
Clicking the Close Button:
- Simply click the Close button (usually an "X") located in the top right corner of the document window (not the application window, unless you only have one document open). This will close the current file.
-
Using Keyboard Shortcuts:
- Windows: Press Ctrl + W to close the active file.
- macOS: Press Command + W to close the active file.
What Happens When You Close a File
- CorelDRAW will prompt you to save your changes if you have made any modifications to the file since the last save.
- If you choose to save, the file will be updated with your latest changes.
- If you choose not to save, any unsaved changes will be discarded.
- If the file is closed, you will return to the welcome screen or another open document.
