What is Eyelase?

Published in Cosmetic Procedure 2 mins read

Fotona Eyelase is a laser treatment that targets the delicate skin around the eyes. It's designed to improve the appearance of the undereye area by reducing:

  • Bagginess
  • Creases
  • Fine lines

This results in a younger, fresher, and smoother look. While it can't stop aging, it effectively minimizes visible signs of aging around the eyes. The treatment works by stimulating collagen production in the conjunctiva tissue.

How Does Fotona Eyelase Work?

The Fotona Eyelase laser stimulates collagen production in the conjunctiva tissue, the membrane lining the inside of the eyelids and covering the sclera (white part of the eye). This collagen stimulation leads to improved skin tone and texture, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and sagging. More information can be found at Dr. Shel Wellness & Aesthetic Center.

It's important to note that "Eyelase" refers specifically to this laser treatment for the eye area, and is distinct from the anatomical features of the eye, such as eyelashes (which protect the eye from debris) or the complex processes of eye tracking or eye color genetics. These aspects are unrelated to the Fotona Eyelase procedure.
