What is the full form of Olay?

Published in Cosmetics 1 min read

The full form of Olay is Oil of Olay.

Originally, Olay started as a product called "Oil of Olay" in South Africa in 1952. It was created by chemist Graham Wulff and his marketing partner, Jack Lowe. Rather than being marketed as a moisturizer, "Oil of Olay" was presented as a beauty fluid that could make women look younger. The name was intentionally vague to create an air of mystery and allure. Later, the "Oil of" part was dropped in many regions to simply become "Olay," although in some markets, the original name persisted for a time. Now, Olay is a global skincare brand owned by Procter & Gamble (P&G).
