How to Make Rose Water at Home for Eyes?

Published in DIY Beauty 2 mins read

Rose water is a natural and gentle solution that can be used to soothe and refresh tired eyes. To make rose water at home, you'll need fresh rose petals and water. Here's a simple method:

  1. Gather Fresh Rose Petals: Choose organic roses with vibrant petals. Wash them thoroughly and remove any stems or leaves.
  2. Combine Petals and Water: Place the petals in a heat-resistant bowl and cover them with distilled water.
  3. Simmer Gently: Place the bowl in a larger pot filled with water. Bring the water to a simmer and let it steam for about 30 minutes, or until the petals have lost their color.
  4. Cool and Strain: Remove the bowl from the pot and let it cool completely. Once cooled, strain the rose water through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove any remaining petals.
  5. Store and Use: Store the rose water in a sterilized container in the refrigerator for up to a week. To use it for your eyes, soak a cotton pad in the rose water and gently apply it to your closed eyelids for a few minutes.

Note: Always use organic rose petals to avoid any potential chemical residues. If you have any eye allergies, it's best to consult with your doctor before using rose water on your eyes.
