You can edit cookies in Microsoft Edge through the browser's settings. Here's how:
-
Access the Settings Menu: Click the three horizontal dots (the "Settings and more" menu) in the top right-hand corner of the Edge window.
-
Navigate to Settings: From the dropdown menu, click on "Settings".
-
Go to Cookies and Site Permissions: In the left-hand sidebar, click on "Cookies and site permissions". If you don't see the sidebar, look for a hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top left to expand it.
-
Access Cookie Management: Under the "Cookies and site data" section, click on "See all cookies and site data."
-
Find and Edit Cookies: This page will display a list of all stored cookies. You can:
- Search for a specific cookie: Use the search bar at the top of the page to find cookies associated with a particular website.
- View Cookie Details: Click on a cookie entry to see its details, such as its name, content, domain, path, send for, created and expires.
- Remove Cookies: You can remove individual cookies by clicking the trash can icon next to the cookie you want to delete. You can also "Remove all" cookies at the top of the page.
Important Notes:
- Editing cookie values directly is not possible through the Edge interface. You can only view their details and delete them.
- Deleting cookies may log you out of websites and require you to re-enter your preferences.
- You can also block cookies from specific sites, or all third-party cookies, within the "Cookies and site permissions" settings.
In summary, while you can't directly edit cookie values in Edge, you can view cookie details, search for specific cookies, and delete them, effectively managing your cookie data.
