What is the minimum egg size to get pregnant?

Published in Egg Size and Fertility 1 min read

The minimum egg size for successful fertilization is 18-20mm (1.8 – 2.0cm) in diameter. While eggs within this range are considered ideal, eggs between 22 to 24mm (2.2 – 2.4cm) are also considered normal. Larger eggs, around 23–28 mm (2.2–2.8 cm), are considered even better for IVF pregnancies.

While the size of the egg is important for fertilization, it's not the only factor. Other factors such as the overall health of the egg, the presence of other follicles, and the woman's overall health can also affect fertility.
