Here's how you can clear your Google mailbox (Gmail):
Steps to Clear Your Gmail Inbox
You can clear your Gmail inbox by deleting emails. The following steps outline how to do this using Gmail's web interface:
- Log into your Gmail account. Start by going to the Gmail website and logging in with your username and password.
- Choose a category. On the left side of the screen, you'll see categories like "Primary," "Promotions," "Social," and others. Click on the category you want to clear (e.g., Promotions).
- Select all emails on the page. A checkbox will appear at the top of the email list. Click this checkbox to select all emails currently displayed on that page.
- Select all conversations in the category. If you have many emails in the category, you'll see a message that says, "Select all conversations in [category]." Click this to select all emails in the entire category, not just those on the current page.
- Move emails to the trash. A trash can icon will now appear at the top of your email list. Click on the trash can icon to move all selected emails to your Trash folder.
Important Notes
- Emails are not permanently deleted. Emails moved to the Trash folder will remain there for 30 days unless you manually empty the Trash folder.
- Emptying the Trash. To permanently delete the emails, go to your Trash folder, select all emails, and click the "Delete Forever" button.
- Repeat for other categories. You'll need to repeat these steps for each category (e.g., Primary, Social) to clear all your unwanted emails.
By following these steps, you can efficiently clear out your Gmail inbox.
