How do you resize an Excel sheet?

Published in Excel Formatting 2 mins read

You can resize an Excel sheet for printing by adjusting the scaling percentage in the Page Setup options.

Here's how to resize an Excel sheet for printing:

  1. Navigate to the Page Layout Tab: Open the Excel sheet you want to resize and click on the "Page Layout" tab in the Excel ribbon.
  2. Open Page Setup: In the "Page Setup" group, click the small arrow in the bottom right corner to open the Page Setup dialog box. Alternatively, locate the "Print Titles" option which will also open the Page Setup Dialog box.
  3. Adjust Scaling: In the Page Setup dialog box, go to the "Page" tab.
  4. Specify Percentage: Under the "Scaling" section, select "Adjust to" and enter the percentage of the normal size you want to use. For example, entering "75%" will reduce the sheet to 75% of its original size, allowing more content to fit on each printed page. Entering "125%" will enlarge the sheet to 125% of its original size.
  5. Confirm Changes: Click "OK" to apply the changes.

This process shrinks or enlarges the worksheet when printed to better fit the data onto the printed pages. Experiment with different percentages to achieve the desired result.
