How does wool burn?

Published in Fabric Flammability 1 min read

Based on a burn test described in a YouTube video reference, when wool is put into a flame, it catches on fire quite fast and keeps burning.

Specifically, the test involved folding a piece of wool multiple times to create a shape like a little torch. When this was introduced into a flame, the material ignited quickly and continued to burn. This demonstrates that wool is flammable and sustains combustion when exposed to fire.
