You can hide the list of people, Pages, and lists you follow on Facebook by accessing your privacy settings within the mobile app or desktop site.
Hiding your following list is a privacy setting that controls who can see the connections you make on the platform, specifically which profiles and Pages you choose to follow. By default, this list is often visible to your friends or even publicly, but Facebook provides options to restrict this visibility.
Steps to Hide Your Following List
Follow these steps to adjust your privacy settings and control who can see your following list:
- Tap ☰ in the top right of Facebook (or your profile picture icon on some interfaces).
- Scroll down and tap Settings & Privacy, then Settings.
- Scroll down to the Audience and Visibility section and tap Followers and Public Content.
- Tap Who can see the people, Pages and lists you follow?
- Tap the circle to select an audience. To hide your following list completely from everyone else, select Only Me. Other options include Public, Friends, or Custom.
Audience Option | Who Can See Your Following List? |
---|---|
Public | Anyone on or off Facebook. |
Friends | Only your Facebook friends. |
Friends except... | Friends, except specific people you choose. |
Specific friends | Only certain friends you choose. |
Only Me | Only you. |
Choosing "Only Me" ensures that no one else viewing your profile can see the list of people, Pages, or lists you follow.
