How many bones are in the face?

Published in Facial Anatomy 1 min read

The human face is composed of 14 bones. These bones can be categorized into two groups: unpaired and paired. There are two unpaired bones (the mandible and vomer) and six paired bones. The paired bones are the nasal bones, inferior nasal conchae, palatine bones, maxillae, zygomatic bones, and lacrimal bones.

These bones play a crucial role in defining the shape of the face, providing support for the teeth and other facial structures, and protecting the underlying organs.
