How to Make Tomato Paste for a Face Mask

Published in Facial Mask Recipe 2 mins read

A simple tomato face mask can be made by blending fresh tomatoes until smooth. No special preparation of the tomatoes, like removing the seeds or skin, is necessary for a basic mask.

Ingredients and Preparation:

  • Ripe Tomatoes: Choose ripe, red tomatoes for optimal results. The quantity depends on the desired amount of paste.
  • Blender or Food Processor: Use a blender or food processor to create a smooth paste.

Instructions:

  1. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
  2. Cut the tomatoes into smaller pieces for easier blending.
  3. Add the tomato pieces to your blender or food processor.
  4. Blend until a smooth paste forms. This may require some scraping down of the sides during the blending process.

Applying the Mask:

  1. Cleanse your face.
  2. Apply the tomato paste evenly to your face, avoiding the eye area.
  3. Leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Rinse your face with lukewarm water and pat dry.

Note: Some sources suggest that removing the seeds and skin from tomatoes before blending might create a smoother paste; however, this step is not essential for a simple tomato face mask. The mask can be used immediately after blending.
