The vagina lips are called labia.
The labia are folds of skin that surround the vaginal opening. They are a part of the vulva, which is the external female genitalia. There are two sets of labia:
-
Labia majora (outer lips): These are the larger, outer folds of skin that are often covered with pubic hair after puberty. They are similar to the scrotum in males.
-
Labia minora (inner lips): These are the smaller, inner folds of skin located inside the labia majora. They are typically smooth and hairless. The labia minora surround the opening to the vagina and the urethra.
Everyone's vulva and labia look different, and this variation is perfectly normal. The size, shape, and color of the labia can vary greatly from person to person.
