You can copy and paste keyframes in Final Cut Pro using keyboard shortcuts or menu options within the Keyframe Editor or directly on the timeline.
Copying and Pasting Keyframes
Final Cut Pro offers two primary methods for copying and pasting keyframes:

Using the Edit Menu:
- Copying Keyframes: Select the keyframes you want to copy in the Keyframe Editor or the timeline. Then, go to Edit > Keyframes > Copy or press Option-Shift-C.
- Cutting Keyframes: If you want to move keyframes instead of copying, select the keyframes and go to Edit > Keyframes > Cut or press Option-Shift-X.
- Pasting Keyframes: Place the playhead where you want to paste the keyframes and go to Edit > Keyframes > Paste. The keyframes will be pasted to the selected parameter at the playhead's position.

Directly on the Timeline:
- Select the keyframes.
- Use Command-C (Copy) or Command-X (Cut).
- Place the playhead at the desired location.
- Use Command-V (Paste). This will paste the keyframes to the same parameter on the selected clip at the playhead position.
Important Considerations:
- When pasting, Final Cut Pro pastes the keyframes relative to the playhead position. This means the timing between the keyframes will be preserved.
- You can copy keyframes between different parameters within the same clip or between different clips, as long as the target parameter is compatible. For example, you can copy keyframes from the "Scale" parameter to the "Rotation" parameter, but only within the same clip.
- When pasting to another clip, the target clip must have the same parameter you're trying to paste to.
- If you're working with complex animations, the Keyframe Editor (accessed via the Video or Audio tab in the Inspector) provides more precise control over selecting and manipulating keyframes.
By using these methods, you can quickly duplicate or move keyframes to streamline your editing workflow.
