How to Clear Browsing History in Firefox?

Published in Firefox Browsing 2 mins read

To clear your browsing history in Firefox, follow these simple steps:

  1. Tap the menu button: Look for the three horizontal lines (the hamburger menu) typically located in the upper-right corner of the Firefox app.
  2. Tap Settings: In the menu that appears, select "Settings".
  3. Scroll down to Privacy and security: Within the Settings menu, scroll down until you find the "Privacy and security" section.
  4. Tap Delete browsing data: In the "Privacy and security" section, tap on "Delete browsing data".
  5. Put a mark next to the items you want to clear: A list of items you can clear will appear, such as browsing history, cookies, cached images and files, and saved passwords. Check the boxes next to the items you want to delete.
  6. Tap the Delete browsing data button: Once you've selected the data you want to clear, tap the "Delete browsing data" button, which is usually located at the bottom of the screen.
  7. Tap Delete to confirm your choice: A confirmation prompt will appear. Tap "Delete" to confirm and proceed with clearing your selected browsing data.

This process will remove the selected data from your Firefox browser. Remember that clearing your browsing history may log you out of websites, remove saved form data, and require websites to reload content they previously cached.
