How to Use Ankle Straps?

Ankle straps are typically used with cable machines for lower body exercises, and they're quite easy to use once you get the hang of it. Here's how:

  1. Wrap the strap: Position the ankle strap around the back of your leg, just above your ankle.
  2. Secure the Velcro: Take the Velcro strap and feed it through the D-ring (if present) on the ankle strap.
  3. Fasten: Securely fasten the Velcro strap to ensure a snug fit. Make sure it's tight enough that the strap won't slip during your exercise, but not so tight that it cuts off your circulation.
  4. Attach to Cable Machine: Connect the metal ring or clip on the ankle strap to the cable machine's carabiner clip.
  5. Adjust Weight and Positioning: Set the desired weight on the cable machine and position yourself appropriately for the exercise you intend to perform (e.g., standing for hip abduction/adduction, on all fours for donkey kicks).

By following these steps, you can effectively and safely utilize ankle straps for various lower body exercises on a cable machine.
