Nescafé was created in Switzerland.
Nescafé, the instant coffee we know today, was introduced on April 1, 1938, in Switzerland. Dr. Max Morgenthaler developed it. Nestlé then established a large-scale production line in a factory located in the Swiss town of Orbe to extract and spray dry coffee beans to produce Nescafé.
