- Petrochemicals: Used as feedstocks for plastics, synthetic fibers, fertilizers, and many other products.
- Lubricants: Motor oil, greases
- Waxes: Used in candles, coatings, and other applications.
- Asphalt: Used in road construction.
The versatility of petroleum stems from the diverse nature of its hydrocarbon components. Different boiling points and chemical properties allow for the separation and refinement into specific products tailored for various applications.
