To start your Game Boy Advance (GBA), follow these simple steps:
- Insert a Game Cartridge: Carefully insert the Game Boy Advance game cartridge into the slot on the back of the GBA. Don't force it; it should slide in with firm, even pressure until it locks into place.
- Power On: Locate the power switch. On the original GBA, this is a sliding switch on the right side. On the GBA SP, it's a switch located on the lower portion of the console that you push upwards. Slide or push it to the "ON" position. In the case of the GBA SP, you'll also need to open the screen first.
- Enjoy! The GBA should now power on and display the game's title screen. If not, try cleaning the game cartridge contacts or replacing the batteries.
