A person with a YY chromosome is male and has a condition called XYY syndrome. This is a genetic condition that occurs when a male receives an extra Y chromosome during fertilization. While most males have an XY chromosome, males with XYY syndrome have an extra Y chromosome, or XYY.
Note: There is no known occurrence of a person with only a YY chromosome. To be born, a person needs at least one X chromosome, which carries essential genetic information.
The extra Y chromosome in XYY syndrome doesn't significantly impact physical appearance. However, it can lead to some physical and developmental differences, including increased height, learning disabilities, and behavioral issues.
