To access your Google Cloud backup, follow these steps in the Google Cloud console:
-
Navigate to the Filestore instances page: Go to the Google Cloud Console and navigate to the Filestore instances. You can search for "Filestore" in the search bar at the top.
-
Click Backups: Once you're on the Filestore instances page, you should see a link or tab labeled "Backups." Click on it.
-
Select the desired backup: A list of your backups will be displayed. Click on the name of the specific backup you want to restore from.
-
Click Restore: After selecting the backup, you'll find an option to "Restore." Click this button to initiate the restore process. You may be prompted to choose the Filestore instance you wish to restore the backup to.
Important Considerations:
- Ensure you have the necessary permissions to access and restore backups.
- The restore process will overwrite the data on the target Filestore instance. Consider creating a new Filestore instance for the restore if you want to preserve the existing data.
- Review the Filestore documentation for details on best practices for backup and restore operations: Google Cloud Filestore Documentation.
