How do I Delete Hidden Data on Google Drive?

Published in Google Drive 1 min read

To delete hidden data on Google Drive associated with connected apps, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Google Drive (drive.google.com).
  2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner to open the settings menu.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. In the Settings window, click on Manage apps.
  5. You'll see a list of apps connected to your Google Drive. Scroll through the list to find the app whose hidden data you want to delete.
  6. Click Options (usually represented by three vertical dots) next to the app's name.
  7. Select Delete hidden app data from the dropdown menu. This will remove the app's hidden data from your Google Drive.

By deleting the hidden app data, you remove the app's access to store additional, often behind-the-scenes, information within your Google Drive account. This can be useful for privacy, troubleshooting app issues, or freeing up storage space.
