How do I change the UTM zone in Google Earth?

Published in Google Earth 1 min read

You can change the display to show the UTM (Universal Transverse Mercator) zone in Google Earth Pro by adjusting the settings in the 3D View options.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to Tools in the menu bar.
  2. Select Options.
  3. In the Google Earth Options window, click on the 3D View tab.
  4. Look for the "Show Lat/Long" section (or similar wording).
  5. Select Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) from the dropdown menu.
  6. Click OK to save the changes.

Now, when you move your cursor around the Google Earth Pro window, the coordinates will be displayed in the UTM format along with the UTM zone.
