To delete photos and videos from Google Photos, follow these steps:
Steps to Delete Google Photos
-
Access Google Photos: On your computer, go to photos.google.com/login.
-
Select Photos or Videos: Find and choose the specific photo or video that you wish to delete permanently.
-
Delete: Look for the delete icon (usually a trash can) and click it to delete the selected item.
Important Considerations
- Deletion is permanent: Once you delete a photo or video from Google Photos, it will be moved to the trash. After 60 days, the deleted items are permanently removed from your Google account.
- Recovery: You can recover photos and videos from the trash before the 60-day period elapses. To do this, go to the Trash section of Google Photos, select the items, and restore them.
- Multiple deletions: You can select multiple photos and videos at once to delete them in bulk. Just select each one and then click the delete button.
Other Information
- Storage: Deleting items from Google Photos frees up storage space in your Google account.
- Synced Devices: If you have Google Photos synced across multiple devices, deleting a photo on one device will delete it on all synced devices.
