How do I delete Google Photos?

Published in Google Photos Deletion 2 mins read

To delete photos and videos from Google Photos, follow these steps:

Steps to Delete Google Photos

  1. Access Google Photos: On your computer, go to photos.google.com/login.

  2. Select Photos or Videos: Find and choose the specific photo or video that you wish to delete permanently.

  3. Delete: Look for the delete icon (usually a trash can) and click it to delete the selected item.

Important Considerations

  • Deletion is permanent: Once you delete a photo or video from Google Photos, it will be moved to the trash. After 60 days, the deleted items are permanently removed from your Google account.
  • Recovery: You can recover photos and videos from the trash before the 60-day period elapses. To do this, go to the Trash section of Google Photos, select the items, and restore them.
  • Multiple deletions: You can select multiple photos and videos at once to delete them in bulk. Just select each one and then click the delete button.

Other Information

  • Storage: Deleting items from Google Photos frees up storage space in your Google account.
  • Synced Devices: If you have Google Photos synced across multiple devices, deleting a photo on one device will delete it on all synced devices.
