How Do I Close All Apps on Google Pixel?

Published in Google Pixel 2 mins read

To close all apps on your Google Pixel, follow these steps:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold briefly. This will open the recent apps overview.
  2. Swipe from left to right across the app previews to see all the apps currently open.
  3. Look for a "Clear all" button. This is typically located on the left side of the screen or at the bottom.
  4. Tap "Clear all". This will close all the apps listed in the recent apps overview.

If you are using Android Go:

The process is slightly different:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold briefly.
  2. Let go of the screen. This will also bring you to the recent apps overview, but without the ability to swipe through.
  3. On some versions there will be a "Clear All" button at the bottom. Tap this button

This will close all your open applications. Keep in mind that closing apps doesn't necessarily improve battery life and can sometimes even reduce it, as the phone may need to use more resources to reopen the app later.
