How do I search Google by image URL?

Published in Google Search 1 min read

To search Google using an image URL, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the Image URL: On your computer, go to the website containing the image you want to search for. Right-click on the image and select "Copy image address" (the exact wording may vary depending on your browser). This copies the image's URL to your clipboard.

  2. Go to Google Images: Navigate to Google Images.

  3. Initiate Image Search: Click the camera icon in the search bar. This will reveal options for searching by image.

  4. Paste the Image URL: In the "Paste image link" field, paste the image URL you copied in step 1.

  5. Submit the Search: Click the "Search" button. Google will then search for visually similar images and websites containing the same image.

This method allows you to quickly find similar images, identify the source of an image, or discover websites using the same image.
