How Do I Turn Off Image Search?

Published in Google Settings 1 min read

To turn off image search history and prevent visual searches from being saved to your Google account, follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings: On your Android phone or tablet, open the Settings app.

  2. Access Google Account Settings: Tap Google, then tap Manage your Google Account.

  3. Navigate to Data & Privacy: At the top, tap Data & privacy.

  4. Find Web & App Activity: Under "History settings," tap Web & App Activity.

  5. Disable Visual Search History: Next to "Include Visual Search History," uncheck the box. When unchecked, Google will no longer save visual search history to your account.

By unchecking the "Include Visual Search History" box, you prevent Google from saving your image searches. Note that turning this setting off will only prevent future image searches from being saved; it will not delete any previously saved image search history. To delete existing visual search history, you'll need to manage your activity within the Web & App Activity section of your Google Account.
