How do I insert a banner in Google Sites?

To insert a banner in the new Google Sites, you'll use the "Announcement banner" feature in the settings. Here's how:

  1. Open your website: On your computer, go to the new Google Sites and open the website you want to add a banner to.
  2. Access Settings: In the top right corner, click on the Settings icon (it looks like a gear).
  3. Go to Announcement banner: In the Settings menu, select Announcement banner.
  4. Enable the Banner: Turn on the Show banner toggle.
  5. Customize:
    • Message: Enter the text you want to display on the banner.
    • Button: Optionally add a button with a label and a link.
    • Background Color: Choose a background color for your banner.
    • Visibility: Select whether the banner appears on all pages or only the homepage.
  6. Close Settings: The banner will automatically appear on your site. You can close the settings panel.
