How do you make hair thickness oil?

Published in Hair Care 3 mins read

To make a hair thickness oil, you can use the following ingredients and steps:

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Hibiscus flowers 20
Neem leaves 30
Curry leaves 30
Onions (Small) 5
Fenugreek seeds 1 Tsp
Aloe vera 1 Leaf
Jasmine flowers 15-20
Coconut oil 1 Litre

Instructions:

  1. Preparation: Gather all the listed ingredients. Ensure the hibiscus flowers, neem leaves, curry leaves, and jasmine flowers are fresh and clean. Wash the aloe vera leaf and peel off the outer layer to access the gel. Roughly chop the onions.

  2. Combining Ingredients: In a large pot or pan, pour the 1 litre of coconut oil. Add the 20 hibiscus flowers, 30 neem leaves, 30 curry leaves, 5 chopped small onions, 1 tsp of fenugreek seeds, the gel from 1 aloe vera leaf and 15-20 jasmine flowers into the coconut oil.

  3. Heating the Mixture: Gently heat the oil mixture over a low heat. Allow it to simmer for about 20-30 minutes. It’s crucial to keep the heat low to avoid burning the ingredients and to allow the beneficial compounds to infuse properly into the oil.

    • The oil should begin to change color and release the aroma of the herbs.
  4. Cooling and Infusion: Remove the pot from the heat and allow the oil mixture to cool down completely. This cooling process allows for further infusion of the ingredients into the oil.

  5. Straining: Once the oil has cooled, use a cheesecloth or a fine-mesh strainer to filter out the solid ingredients. Squeeze any remaining oil from the herbs and other solids.

  6. Storage: Pour the strained hair oil into a clean, dry airtight container. Store it in a cool, dark place.

Usage:

  • Scalp Massage: Gently massage the hair thickness oil onto your scalp, using your fingertips to work it in. This helps to improve blood circulation.
  • Hair Length: Apply the oil along the length of your hair to provide nourishment.
  • Frequency: Use the oil 2-3 times per week for best results. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes or preferably overnight before washing your hair.

Benefits:

  • Hibiscus flowers: Known to stimulate hair growth and make hair stronger.
  • Neem leaves: Help in preventing dandruff and scalp issues.
  • Curry leaves: Help in preventing hair greying and encourage hair growth.
  • Onions: Rich in sulfur, which can promote hair growth and prevent breakage.
