How to Clean the Inside of a KASK Helmet

Published in Helmet Cleaning 1 min read

To clean the inside of your KASK helmet, focus primarily on the inner lining, which is removable on most models.

Based on KASK's recommendations, here's how to properly clean the inner lining:

  • Method 1: Hand Washing
    • Wash the inner lining by hand in cold water.
    • Use a neutral pH soap.
  • Method 2: Machine Washing
    • Wash the inner lining in a washing machine.
    • Use a maximum temperature of 30°C (85°F).

After washing, allow the lining to air dry completely before reinserting it into the helmet. Avoid using heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this could damage the material.

For refreshing and neutralizing unpleasant odors within the helmet liner, KASK also offers a dedicated product called the KASK Liner Refresher.

While the inner lining is the main component inside, the helmet shell interior can be cleaned with the KASK Helmet cleaner or with water, neutral pH soap, and a soft, clean cloth, similar to the exterior.

Proper cleaning ensures your helmet remains hygienic and comfortable for every ride.
