Where is Isaac Newton's apple tree?

Published in History of Science 1 min read

Isaac Newton's apple tree, or rather a descendant of the original, is located at Woolsthorpe Manor in Lincolnshire, England.

While the original tree suffered damage in an 1816 storm, a significant portion of it survived and re-rooted. Remarkably, this surviving tree continues to grow at Woolsthorpe Manor, estimated to be over 350 years old. The Manor is a National Trust property and the tree is a popular attraction for visitors interested in the history of science and Newton's famous epiphany regarding gravity.
