Calf Anatomy
The calf, known as the sura in Latin, is the back part of your lower leg. It's primarily composed of two major muscles:
- Gastrocnemius: This is the more superficial muscle and is easily visible. It has two heads: medial and lateral.
- Soleus: This muscle lies beneath the gastrocnemius.
Muscle | Description | Location |
