What is humerus?

Published in Human Anatomy 1 min read

The humerus is the long bone in your upper arm that runs from your shoulder to your elbow. It's one of the longest bones in your body and plays a crucial role in your ability to move your arm. It connects the scapula (shoulder blade) and the two bones of your forearm, the radius and ulna. The humerus is a vital part of your shoulder and elbow joints, allowing you to move your arm in various directions.

The humerus is susceptible to fractures due to its length. These fractures often occur due to falls, car accidents, or other traumatic events. Most humerus fractures can be treated without surgery, but it can take several months for the bone to heal.
