A man produces approximately 200–300 million spermatozoa (sperm cells) per day. This equates to roughly 1,500 sperm cells being produced every second.
While the daily sperm production rate is high, not all sperm produced are viable and capable of fertilization. Approximately 50–100 million sperm become viable each day. The remaining sperm are either reabsorbed by the body or expelled. Factors like age, lifestyle, and overall health can influence the quantity and quality of sperm produced.
