Activate the Live Paint Bucket tool. Press K on your keyboard. This will select the Live Paint Bucket tool.

Choose your colors. Have your color palette ready in Illustrator, whether it's a custom swatch library or the default swatches panel.

Start coloring. With the Live Paint Bucket tool selected and your desired color chosen, click on the different areas of your illustration to fill them with color. The tool intelligently detects and fills enclosed areas.
