CLP cells, or common lymphoid progenitor cells, are a type of immune cell that gives rise to other immune cells.
According to research, CLP cells differentiate into various immune cells, including:
- T cells
- B cells
- NK cells
- ILC3s (Innate Lymphoid Cells 3) [9–11]
During the differentiation process of CLP cells into other immune cell types, specific transcriptional regulators, such as inhibitors of DNA binding (Id) and E proteins, are expressed. This intricate regulation guides the development of diverse immune cell lineages from a common progenitor.
