The "six killers" refers to six highly infectious and potentially fatal childhood diseases that have been targeted by global vaccination efforts. These are:
- Measles
- Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
- Diphtheria
- Tetanus
- Tuberculosis
- Poliomyelitis (Polio)
These diseases were, and in some regions still are, major contributors to childhood morbidity and mortality. Widespread vaccination programs have dramatically reduced their incidence and impact globally.
