It's a common question! You cannot directly add a regular Instagram feed post to a highlight. Instagram highlights are a special feature designed to showcase your favorite Instagram Stories long after they expire.
Understanding Instagram Highlights
Highlights are essentially curated collections of your past Instagram Stories that appear prominently on your profile, right below your bio. They provide a way to share moments, themes, or important information with your audience on an ongoing basis.
Adding Instagram Stories to a Highlight
While you can't add a feed post, you can easily add your previously shared Instagram Stories to a highlight. This process relies on your Stories Archive, where Instagram automatically saves your stories after they disappear from your live story feed (unless you've turned off archiving).
Based on the process for adding content to highlights:

Access Your Story Archive:
- Go to your profile.
- Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top right corner.
- Select "Archive" and then tap "Stories Archive" at the top (if it's not already selected).

Once added, these stories will appear in that highlight on your profile until you choose to remove them.
