How to Remove iPad Pro Case?

Published in iPad Accessories 2 mins read

Removing an iPad Pro case is generally straightforward, but the specific method depends on the type of case you have. Here's how to remove a common folio-style case:

  1. Open the Folio Cover: Begin by fully opening the folio cover. Avoid folding it completely behind the iPad. Let it hang loosely. This prevents any obstruction and offers better access to the iPad's edges.

  2. Locate the Camera Lens: With the back of your iPad facing you, identify the camera lens. This will serve as a point of leverage.

  3. Gently Push: Place your finger (or thumb) on the edge of the iPad around the camera lens and gently push the iPad through the camera cutout in the case. The case should start to detach from that corner.

  4. Work Around the Edges: Once one corner is free, carefully work your way around the remaining edges of the iPad. Avoid using excessive force, as this could potentially damage the iPad or the case. Gentle pressure should suffice.

  5. Remove Completely: Once all corners are detached, lift the iPad completely out of the case.

Important Considerations:

  • Case Material: If your case is made of a rigid material, you may need to apply slightly more pressure. However, always proceed cautiously to avoid damage. Softer, more flexible cases will be easier to remove.
  • Case Design: Some cases may have specific release mechanisms or clips. Check the case manufacturer's instructions if you're unsure.
  • Cleanliness: Before reinserting your iPad into the case, consider wiping down both the iPad and the inside of the case to remove any dust or debris.
