How Do I Find a Saved Password on My iPad?

Published in iPad Passwords 2 mins read

You can find your saved passwords on your iPad through the Settings app. Here's how:

  1. Open the Settings app: Locate and tap the Settings icon on your iPad's home screen.

  2. Navigate to Passwords: Scroll down until you find "Passwords" (or, depending on your iOS version, "Passwords & Accounts" then "Website & App Passwords") and tap it.

  3. Authenticate: You will be prompted to authenticate using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. Use whichever method you have enabled.

  4. View the List: After successful authentication, you'll see a list of websites and apps for which you have saved passwords.

  5. Find Your Password: Tap on the website or app whose password you want to view. The password will be displayed, possibly behind an option to "Show Password". You may need to authenticate again to reveal the password.

If you don't see the website or app you're looking for, double-check that you have saved the password for that site or app on your iPad. Also, ensure that iCloud Keychain is enabled in your iCloud settings. This allows passwords to sync across all your Apple devices.
