How to Block Blue Light on iPhone?

Published in iPhone Tips 2 mins read

To block blue light on your iPhone, use the built-in Night Shift feature. Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings: Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

  2. Tap Display & Brightness: Scroll down and tap on "Display & Brightness."

  3. Select Night Shift: Locate and tap on "Night Shift."

  4. Customize Night Shift: In the Night Shift settings, you have several options:

    • Scheduled: You can schedule Night Shift to turn on automatically between specific times. For example, you might set it to activate from sunset to sunrise, or create a custom schedule. Tap the toggle to enable scheduled Night Shift and then set your desired start and end times.

    • Manually Enable Until Tomorrow: Tap this option to immediately turn on Night Shift and keep it active until the next day.

    • Color Temperature: Use the slider to adjust the color temperature. Dragging the slider to the left will make the screen appear less warm (less blue light blocked), while dragging it to the right will make the screen appear warmer (more blue light blocked).

By adjusting these settings, you can effectively reduce the amount of blue light emitted by your iPhone screen, especially during evening hours, which may help improve sleep quality.
