How to Trim Video on iPhone 15?

Published in iPhone Video Editing 2 mins read

To trim a video on your iPhone 15, use the Photos app's built-in editing tools.

Steps to Trim a Video on iPhone 15:

  1. Open the Photos App: Locate and open the Photos app on your iPhone 15.

  2. Select the Video: Find the video you want to trim and tap on it to open it.

  3. Tap Edit: In the top right corner of the screen, tap the "Edit" button.

  4. Adjust the Start and End Points:

    • A frame viewer will appear below the video.
    • Drag the yellow arrows at either end of the frame viewer to adjust the start and stop times of the video. You can preview the trimmed portion by tapping the play button.
  5. Choose Save Option: Once you're satisfied with the trimmed video, tap "Done" in the bottom right corner. You'll be presented with two options:

    • Save Video: This option saves only the trimmed version of the video, overwriting the original.
    • Save Video as New Clip: This option saves the trimmed version as a new video clip, leaving the original video untouched. This is generally the recommended option to avoid accidentally losing the original footage.

That's it! Your video is now trimmed. You can access the trimmed video (or the original, depending on the save option you chose) in your Photos app.
