Muslims believe in life after death, but not in immortality in the sense of avoiding death altogether. The Quran clearly states that all people will die.
While "immortality" might suggest being exempt from death, which Islam rejects for human beings in their earthly form, Islamic teachings emphasize a continuation of existence beyond physical death in the afterlife. This eternal life is granted by Allah and takes the form of reward or punishment based on one's actions during their earthly life. Therefore, the concept of eternal life is more accurately described as resurrection and judgment followed by either eternal paradise (Jannah) or eternal hellfire (Jahannam).
