Which Sahabi Killed His Father?

Abu Ubayda ibn al-Jarrah is reported to have killed his father, Abdullah ibn al-Jarrah, during the Battle of Badr.

During the Battle of Badr in 624 AD, Abu Ubayda, a companion (Sahabi) of the Prophet Muhammad, found himself in direct combat with his own father, Abdullah ibn al-Jarrah, who was fighting on the side of the Quraysh of Mecca against the Muslims. Historical accounts state that Abu Ubayda killed his father in this battle. This event highlights the immense dedication of the early Muslims to their faith, even when faced with the most difficult personal conflicts.
