The Quran strongly condemns Shirk in numerous verses. For example:
- Quran 4:48: "Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin."
Why Shirk is Considered the Greatest Sin:
- Violation of Tawhid: Shirk directly contradicts the core principle of Islam, which is the absolute oneness and uniqueness of Allah.
- Ingratitude: It is seen as an act of ingratitude towards Allah, who is the source of all blessings and provision.

- Consequences in the Hereafter: The Quran states that those who die without repenting from Shirk are destined for Hellfire.
