To edit shapes in Keynote, you need to make them editable and then manipulate their points. Here's how:
- Select the Shape: Click the shape you want to edit.
- Make it Editable: Go to the Format menu at the top of your screen. Choose Shapes and Lines, then select Make Editable.
- Edit the Points: The shape's outline will now display editable points (handles). You can drag these points to reshape the object.
- Change Line Type: Double-click a white handle to toggle the line segment connected to that point between curved and straight.
Essentially, making a shape editable in Keynote converts it from a pre-defined form into a freeform vector graphic, allowing for extensive customization. You can add, delete, and move the points to create entirely new shapes or significantly alter existing ones.
