How to Duplicate Slides in Keynote

Published in Keynote Slides 2 mins read

Duplicating slides in Keynote is a quick way to reuse content or create variations of existing slides within your presentation. You can easily duplicate one or multiple slides directly from the slide navigator.

Duplicating a Single Slide

To duplicate just one slide in your Keynote presentation, follow these simple steps based on the slide view interface:

  • Tap to select the slide you want to duplicate in the slide navigator (the list of slides on the side).
  • Tap the selected slide again.
  • A menu will appear. Tap Duplicate.

The duplicate slide will appear immediately below the original slide in the navigator.

Duplicating Multiple Slides

If you need to duplicate several slides at once, Keynote allows you to select and copy multiple slides simultaneously from the slide navigator.

  • Touch and hold one slide in the slide navigator to begin selecting.
  • While still holding the first slide, use another finger to tap the other slides you want to include in the selection. They will highlight as you tap them.
  • Once all desired slides are selected, lift the finger from the first slide you were holding.
  • A menu will appear. Tap Duplicate.

All selected slides will be duplicated and inserted right after the last slide in your selection.

Quick Reference Table

Here's a quick summary of the methods:
