How to Clean White Laces?

Published in Laundry Tips 1 min read

To effectively clean white laces that have become dingy, follow these steps:

  1. Prepare an Oxygen-Based Bleach Solution: Mix oxygen-based bleach with warm water according to the product label's instructions. This type of bleach is generally safe for both white and colored laces.

  2. Soak the Laces: Submerge the white laces in the prepared solution. Ensure they are fully immersed to allow even cleaning.

  3. Soak Time: Let the laces soak in the solution for at least four hours, or even overnight for heavily soiled laces. This gives the oxygen-based bleach ample time to lift the dirt and grime.

  4. Rinse Thoroughly: After soaking, remove the laces from the solution and rinse them thoroughly under clean, running water until all traces of the bleach are gone.

  5. Dry the Laces: Hang the rinsed laces to drip dry. Avoid using a machine dryer, as the heat can damage the laces or cause them to shrink. Allow them to air dry completely.

By following these steps, you can restore your white laces to their original brightness.
