To rotate a layer in Sketchbook, the primary method involves using a simple multi-touch gesture once you are in the mode to transform the layer.
Rotating a Layer with Touch
When you are working with layers in Sketchbook and need to adjust their orientation, the software provides an intuitive touch control for rotation.
- Select the Layer: First, ensure the layer you want to rotate is selected in the Layer Editor.
- Activate Transformation: Access the tool or mode that allows you to move, scale, or rotate layers. This is often referred to as a Transform or Move tool.
- Perform the Rotation Gesture: According to the reference on moving, rotating, or scaling a layer, to rotate your layer, you should drag in a circular manner with two fingers. By placing two fingers on the screen and moving them in a circular motion (clockwise or counter-clockwise), you can precisely control the angle of the selected layer.
This two-finger gesture provides a quick and direct way to visually adjust the rotation of your layer's content directly on the canvas.
Keep in mind that other transformation actions like moving (one-finger drag) and scaling are often available in the same mode, allowing you to manipulate the layer comprehensively before confirming the changes.
